The Circle Effect in Marketing

The Circle Effect in Marketing

5/19/2019

As you might know, companies these days who want to succeed always try to connect to the audience in some way. Firstly, they support the audience by giving them products that they like and want to buy. Sometimes they do this is by making their product free and accessible to anyone, which pulls the most people. When they spread the word to their friends and peers, it makes the product more well-known or popular. This is when companies such as Snapchat,  Instagram, and Twitter put in advertisements in between user posts in order for the audience to see them. The brands are getting attention through ads and those company brands are paying the social media companies to put their ads on their apps. Therefore, it's ultimately a win-win solution for both sides. When they are both successful in marketing and get the attention of large groups of people, they use the money that they get from these people in order to pay for more advertisements. Since it's an ongoing phenomena and it never seems to stop, it almost has a circular pattern to it.

I usually don't have this happen to me often, but I sometimes catch myself off guard and falling for a trap that the advertisers have created. However, I would buy a product from a company if they have high quality features or when the profit goes to people in need. This marketing strategy can also be misleading as well.
