One News Story Two Outlets
One News Story Two Outlets

Whenever we hear something big happening in politics, we know that democrats and republicans are going to have different views on the subject. Democratic views are mainly expressed by CNN while Republican views are mainly expressed in FOX News. Usually when I see both of their headlines, I notice that they cover the same topics but have hugely conflicting points of view. I believe that they do this in order to appeal to a select group of U.S. citizens.
One example of how these two news sources are on two sides of the spectrum is Trump's immigration policy. On one hand, we have CNN opposing Trump's proposals while on the other we have FOX News agreeing with Trump. You can see from FOX News' headline that they don't necessarily like immigrants. The negative tone that they use in their words makes it sound like all immigrants commit murder, which creates a false reality that people believe in. This is what makes some news sources bias and not reliable.
I choose CNN over FOX News because it gives out only facts most of the time and it's less bias compared to FOX News. Also, mistakes like the one made in the picture below also makes me go toward CNN rather than FOX News. Mistakes like these make the news source look ignorant and people would start to question their claims more often.

Hi, it's really Ashley Jun because her blog comments don't work. "I appreciate how you placed your own opinion within the article while keeping it disconnected from the overall message of how different media outlets can construed information to fit their agendas. Having political opinions can easily be reflected into the way one conveys an argument, but I think you presented your observations of the news outlets separately. With immigration, it is heavily sided to be negatively presented on the Republican side, which I believe gave you more leeway if there was a merging of your views on the article. I enjoyed the overarching idea, how one story can be taken two different ways, as well as how you used the literal meaning with new stories and CNN vs Fox News. "
