What's so Important About Naruto?

April 28, 2019

This anime is set in the Hidden Leaf Village in the Land of Fire. It's one of the five great countries of the ninja world. There was a nine-tailed demon fox who tried to destroy the Hidden Leaf Village, but was sealed into the Fourth Hokage's son when he was just an infant. The Fourth Hokage, or the fourth leader of the Hidden Leaf Village and his wife successfully protected the village, but lost their lives in return. This left Naruto, the son, all alone without a father figure or a mother figure.

When he was a kid, he always wanted to receive recognition because nobody loved him or cared for him because he was the host of the Nine-Tails. He finally made a friend in his ninja team, but he later left because he wanted to become stronger in order to kill his brother who killed off his clan. Naruto believed that this wasn't the right way and that hate doesn't solve problems and revenge doesn't benefit anyone, but he doesn't listen. Naruto tried to stop him by force, but he was too strong for him.
Naruto wanted to get stronger in order to bring him back home, so he trained for 3 years to enhance his abilities.

When he came back, he started to learn new abilities such as sage mode, which enhances your attack power and sensory skills as well as being able to control the Nine-Tails inside of him and use its powers to benefit himself. With these powers, he was able to defend the Hidden Leaf from great threats such as the evil clan called the Akatsuki. He was finally able to receive recognition from the villagers, which made him happy.

Overall, Naruto is an anime that teaches us life skills that are very important. They include friendship, cooperation, and the strive for peace. Not only do they apply to regular citizens, but they apply to leaders of nations as well. Sometimes, nations have to work together in order to achieve peace, which Naruto is trying to say.

  1. I like the way you described the postive messages and life lessons that you have seen from Naruto. I agree that certain forms of media can be very inspiring with a lot of important themes regarding life, and can be informative to the viewer. I think I often get distracted by all the negative effects of media and I forget there are postive ones too. Loved this! :)

  2. I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one Naruto has significantly impacted. Naruto hasn’t just been another anime that I’ve watched, it’s much deeper than that. This anime guides are moral compass and a more positive direction under the identity of just another anime. Glad to see that my weeb self isn’t alone!

  3. Hi, it's really Jack Galvez because his blog comments don't work. "I really liked reading this blog because I feel that the messages that you described are really important. I think it is good that you can see these messages inside of an animated show because life lessons that we can see in these types of media can always travel with us for the rest of our lives since they have a big impact on our ideology and how we think. Overall, I think this was a great write up and if we can see more moral messages like these in media, we can reflect on them even more in life."
