These days advertisers always want to hook in their audience in many ways including using many different ways of phrasing their words and to make the picture work for wide audience. In order to appeal their product to the general family, they use techniques such as, "Plain Folks." This is when advertisers make the product seem like it's for the ordinary people.

Advertisers also use many other techniques in order to gain the attention of their audience. One of them is, "Snob Appeal,"which is used in a lot of car brands and airlines. This is when advertisers suggest that the product is for the high-class people and it makes you have a luxurious lifestyle. Another technique they use is "Simple Solutions," which is used in a lot of detergent ads. This is when they make the audience think that the product can solve many problems with understandable solutions.

Advertisers try to appeal to your senses, but a lot of the time they try to appeal to your emotions. Techniques such as "Bandwagon" makes the person want to join a group of people who also like the product. It gives them a sense of family, which advertisers want them to have. Also, there is "Magical Ingredients," which makes the audience want to buy the product because of one key ingredient that makes it special.

Next time you watch an ad while you're watching a basketball or a football game. It's helpful to keep these techniques in mind. It will allow you to analyze the ad and to see the motives behind it.
